Amour Desserts Launches its 2026 Handmade Mooncake Collection

The 2026 handmade mooncake season at Amour Desserts opened on 25 July 2026 in Melbourne, Australia. With the Mid-Autumn Festival falling on 25 September, the Hoppers Crossing artisan home bakery has brought its seasonal range together for Melbourne and interstate customers.

The live collection currently lists a wide-range of mooncake products. Local ordering is available through the bakery’s range of handmade mooncakes in Melbourne, while products prepared for interstate dispatch are listed separately.

This year’s range covers several mooncake styles rather than one traditional format. Customers can find familiar paste fillings alongside Taiwanese combinations, savoury recipes, shortcrust options and smaller baked treats.

Mooncake products made in Melbourne

The traditional range begins with Lotus Paste and a separate Double Yolk Lotus product. Traditional Red Bean and Mixed Nuts are also listed. Traditional Red Bean is offered as its own product and does not have a Double Yolk variant.

Other choices include Royal Golden Pineapple Lotus, Taiwanese 3Q and Taiwanese 3Q with Bakkwa. The savoury side of the collection includes Prosperity Dragon Bakkwa, Shanghai Walnut Bakkwa and Nyonya Sambal with Egg Yolk.

Shortcrust Shanghai mooncakes are available in lotus and red bean varieties. Salted Egg Yolk Pastry, Mooncake Biscuit and the five-piece Assorted Homemade Mooncake Box add different formats to the collection.

Mooncake production is seasonal, but the bakery continues its other made-to-order work throughout the year. That includes custom birthday cakes for children in Melbourne, prepared separately from the festival collection.

Traditional fillings alongside contemporary styles

Lotus paste, red bean and mixed nuts provide the familiar foundation of the collection. Taiwanese 3Q products introduce a different combination of pastry and texture, while bakkwa appears across several savoury products.

The shortcrust Shanghai varieties also differ from traditional baked mooncakes in their pastry style. Nyonya Sambal with Egg Yolk has a distinctly savoury profile, while Salted Egg Yolk Pastry and Mooncake Biscuit extend the range beyond the standard mooncake format.

Customers who prefer a mixture can consider the Assorted Homemade Mooncake Box 5pcs. Individual product pages remain the best place to confirm the contents, format and current ordering details for each item.

Amour Desserts describes the products in the current collection as freshly handmade upon order in Melbourne, with thin crusts, generous fillings and a less-sweet flavour profile. The collection also states that no added preservatives or lard are used and that vegetarian and vegan options are available. Customers ordering for particular dietary needs should still check the relevant product listing.

The same home bakery also handles other celebration work during the year, including wedding cakes in Melbourne. The mooncake collection remains the bakery’s seasonal focus in the lead-up to the Mid-Autumn Festival.

Different ordering paths for Melbourne and interstate customers

Melbourne customers can use the local collection to review the seasonal range and the delivery or Melbourne pickup arrangements shown during ordering.

Customers outside Melbourne Metro should refer to the dedicated Australia-wide mooncake postage collection. The postage collection and checkout show the products and dispatch dates currently available.

Customers sending an order to New South Wales can also use the page for mooncake delivery in Sydney as a destination-specific starting point. The live postage collection remains the place to confirm which products can currently be dispatched.

For local customers, delivery and pickup operate differently from interstate postage. The applicable collection and checkout pages show the arrangements available for the order and address being entered.

The 2026 season is now under way

Customers can now compare individual product pages, check current availability and choose the fulfilment route that applies to their location. Those outside Melbourne can use the bakery’s information page to order mooncakes online in Australia before reviewing the postage collection and checkout details.

The 25 July opening provides a two-month lead-in to the Mid-Autumn Festival on 25 September. During that period, the live website will carry the current product selection, dispatch dates and local fulfilment information.

Mooncakes are the seasonal focus, while the bakery’s year-round work continues to include made-to-order birthday cakes in Melbourne. For the weeks ahead, the 2026 mooncake collection will remain at the centre of the bakery’s Hoppers Crossing production schedule till the Moon Festival on 25 September.
